I am deeply captivated by the beauty of the natural world and by the remarkable diversity of life that we share it with.

When painting an animal, I strive to develop a profound connection with my subject, seeking to understand and convey something of its individual character, personality, and spirit. For me, wildlife painting is not simply about creating a visual representation; it is about capturing the essence of the animal and encouraging a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

I have always been passionate about art and enjoy working across a variety of mediums. However, I am particularly drawn to oil painting for its rich, luminous colour, depth, and the beautiful way in which the pigments can be blended to create both subtlety and texture.

I have been drawing from a very young age, but it is only in recent years that I have dedicated myself more fully to painting wildlife. This journey has grown considerably, and earlier this year I was delighted to hold my fourth exhibition.

My passion for wildlife began through my children, whom I homeschool. Their fascination with African wildlife and the conservation projects dedicated to protecting endangered species introduced us to a world that we became increasingly passionate about understanding and supporting.

As my own wildlife painting developed, so too did our desire to contribute in a meaningful way to conservation. I now aim to use my artwork as a means of supporting organisations and projects working to protect endangered species and their habitats, with proceeds from my work being donated to relevant conservation causes.

Through my art, I hope not only to celebrate the beauty and individuality of wildlife, but also to inspire greater awareness, appreciation, and a desire to protect the extraordinary creatures with whom we share our planet.
